My name is Leanna Gheseawan and I am a belly casting and lifecast artist located in Trinidad and Tobago. I am thrilled to be sharing my passion for this unique art form with you all through my very first blog post.
For those who are unfamiliar with belly casting, it involves making a three-dimensional sculpture of a pregnant woman's body, usually the torso or belly area.
The resulting sculpture can then be painted, decorated, or preserved as a cherished keepsake of her pregnancy
Lifecasting is not specific to expecting mother's but can be done on anyone, any body type.
I first discovered belly casting and lifecasting several years ago, and was immediately drawn to the art form's ability to capture the beauty and uniqueness of each person's body. I love the way that each cast is completely unique and personalized, reflecting the individuality and personality of the person being casted.
As an artist, I am committed to creating high-quality, custom pieces that will be treasured for years to come. I take great care in every step of the casting process, from choosing the best materials to ensuring that the person being cast is comfortable and relaxed throughout the experience.
